Most of the time, we use this newsletter to announce new clients, new team members, that sort of thing. But this month, we get to tell you about the launch of a new organization: Culture Kettle, a social enterprise dedicated to creating new knowledge and fostering new practices in the arts and museum fields.
Co-founded by Peter Linett, one of the firm’s partners, and Carroll Joynes of the University of Chicago’s Cultural Policy Center, Culture Kettle will work to create new knowledge about audiences and how they engage — and could engage — with the arts, sciences, and humanities (the “R” in R&D), then create and test new cultural experiences for the public (the “D”).
Working with existing arts organizations and museums as well as in parallel to them, we’re hoping to widen the bandwidth of strategies that can be used to connect Americans to culture, creativity, and learning.
Of course, we can’t do it alone. If you’re interested in collaborating on a Culture Kettle program, get in touch. Read more about Culture Kettle here, and stay tuned for news of our initial projects, forthcoming website, and the naming of our first Innovator in Residence.
There’s much else going on at Slover Linett. A few of our doings and musings are shown below, but for the full picture click over to our news page and blog (where we welcome your comments anytime).
